Information Literacy instruction is a core service many librarians provide in a wide array of contexts. Regardless of formal instruction versus informal guidance, the evolution of best practices has been profoundly impacted by the recent revision to the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education. In this program, participants will be exposed to evolving information literacy instruction in many different arenas including online, face-to-face, formal course instruction, embedded, informal instruction, one-shot, and more. Particular emphasis is placed in the academic library, as the session will explore an online information literacy course, the ACRL Framework, and integration of the new ProQuest Research Companion database.
