The Opposite of Outreach? Using Your Library to Connect Services to the Community

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

People see libraries as a source for help in many different ways, but sometimes they need more than we can or should provide. It is our mission to connect people with resources, though, so what can we do? There are many non-profits and other community groups that provide free services and need ways to expand their reach. By hosting them in our buildings, we can facilitate their success and help our patrons (without adding too much to our workload). We will talk about how to find and develop partnerships with organizations like Utah Food Bank, Head Start, mental/physical health providers, financial advisers, etc., and share tips to make these programs benefit everyone involved.
